Chief Complaint
A 39-year-old female patient presented to VHG HSR center with complaints of heavy menstrual bleeding lasting 7–10 days, associated with passage of heavy clots and dysmenorrhea. She also reported accompanying severe symptoms of vomiting, fatigue, constipation and inability to eat any food during menstrual cycle.
Additionally, the patient complained of post-menstrual pain in the left hypochondriac region. She was a known case of adenomyosis with a left endometrial cyst and was suggested a surgical intervention.
Integrative Treatment for Adenomyosis
The patient received Acupuncture therapy for 10 days along with Abdominal packs and Yoga therapy for 5 days, in addition to internal medications.
This was followed by Panchakarma therapy, including Snehapana for 5 days, Abhyanga for 3 days, and Virechana for 1 day.
This integrative adenomyosis treatment focused on reducing inflammation, balancing hormones, and improving menstrual health naturally.

| USG of abdomen and pelvis | · Endometrial thickness is 12.8mm, appears to be compressed by myometrial lesion.
· Uterus – Posterior walls shows large ill defined heterogeneous lesion with poor junctional zone defined as Adenomyosis/adenomyoma, 10.8 *7.8*10.2cm.
· Right ovary contain cystic lesion of 2cm, endometriotic cyst. · Bulky left ovary without discrete cyst, shows pelvis adhesions.

· Endometrial thickness is 5.6mm.
· Uterus – Bulky in size, heterogeneous lesion in the posterior wall. 5.7*5.6cm, no cystic area seen.
· Right ovary appears bulky in size, no cyst. · Left ovary appears bulky in size. |
Post Treatment Follow-up
Patients had regular follow ups at the center and after two months of treatment, she reported a significant decrease in the intensity of her back pain, regularised menstrual cycle with a normal four-day flow and reduced pain.
She found significant improvement in gut health and had reported that she was able to eat during all the days of menstrual cycle unlike before.
She was advised to continue the oral Ayurvedic medications and Acupuncture therapy for an additional duration of three months, along with yoga practice and dietary modifications.
Conclusion
An integrative approach for adenomyosis treatment helps reduce signs and symptoms of adenomyosis and therefore regulates the menstrual cycle and flow, reduces menstrual pain and improves overall health and quality of life.
